Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Centers for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, intends to negotiate a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order contract with Epithelix Sàrl. under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the acquisition of 1,235 inserts of qualified ready-to-use human primary bronchial cells in a year, and 1,235 inserts of qualified ready-to-use blended human primary nasal cells in a year, and twenty-six (26) 500mL bottles of ALI media thirteen (13) 125mL bottle of ALI media across in thirteen (13) shipments of media and primary cells using specialized containment and immobilization. Epithelix is able to provide human primary nasal epithelium cells in a “ready-to-use” condition (as opposed to frozen vials) while shipped. Further, they are able to blend the cells of several donors in a proprietary method that allows the testing of more relevant generalized responses, reducing the amount of replicates needed to show
data is not specific to a single donor.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) calendar days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
