Description

205-207 Structure DemolitionWest Mifflin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project on behalf the Department of Energy for demolition of three structures at 205-207 Bettis Road, West Mifflin, PA, 15122. The structures include areas slated for demolition and restoration are all within the property boundary. This scope of work defines the work required to demolish the current three (3) structures, including foundations, septic tanks, underground utility supply lines (gas/water) back to street valves and connections, overhead utility lines (electric/phone) and poles back to street connections, removal of asphalt and concrete paving. Restoration includes backfilling, grading, and seeding the former structure locations and area of asphalt pavement removal with stone. The major features of the requirements are identified below. The contract specifically includes:? Demolition, disposal, grading, and seeding. Demolition includes three (3) structures: an abandoned restaurant building, an abandoned residential two-story house, with a basement, and a detached garage. ? Asbestos abatement for exterior cementitious siding, exterior window and door caulking, and minor components such as HVAC tape, flue pipe, and ceiling tile. ? Asphalt removal of pavement along Bettis Road starting east of the driveway to the eastern side of the restaurant structure; the parking lot is estimated to be 4,500 Sq. Ft. The contractor shall remove all asphalt pavement and backfill the area with gravel. The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed.
