THIS IS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AND DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.
TITLE: FACILITIES SUPPORT DESK SERVICES
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of Small Businesses (e.g., 8(a), Service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, Small disadvantaged business, Veteran-owned small business, and Women-owned small business) under NAICS code, 561210 that have the capability, experience, and expert knowledge to provide facilities service support.
The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is a Research and development (R&D) facility with 52 buildings located on (578-acre) site in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The NIST site has approximately 3,424,353 gross square feet (GSF) of floor space including R&D, office, and service areas. Most of the buildings are brick exterior construction and are approximately 50 - 60 years old.
NIST is seeking information on qualified Small Businesses to manage day-to-day maintenance and repair of government-owned buildings at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Gaithersburg, MD location. The primary responsibility of the FMD Service Desk (SD) is to work as a team and, in the support of other groups at NIST, to resolve customer-reported issues via phone, email, and walk-ins promptly.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Respondents are encouraged to discuss numbers 1-5 and provide any feedback, comments, and questions regarding the draft PWS document. Specifically, the government is seeking feedback about small businesses' capability to:
- Operate per the Standard Operating Procedures
- Utilize an array of tools and resources to resolve end-user-reported incidents.
- Work with a focus on high-end user satisfaction while applying technical logic to solve incidents.
- Produce value-generating detailed documentation (e.g., Ticket solution details).
- Work confidently and cooperatively with other service providers and OFPM staff.
Please limit responses to five pages (double-sided).
Each response should also include:
Company name

Capabilities of numbers 1-5
Company Business Size (i.e., other than small business or small business)
GSA Contract Number (if applicable)
Any proprietary information should be marked. The written capability statement shall clearly and unambiguously demonstrate the ability to do the work required in the notice.

Once the results of this market research are obtained and analyzed for NIST's minimum requirements, NIST may solicit a competitive procurement.
