Description

SCOPE OF WORK:  The contract will require contractors to provide all work necessary to take over and complete the Grand Prairie Pump Station project in accordance with the previously awarded plans, specifications, and approved modifications.  The contractor will also be required to correct or replace any deficient work in place and be responsible for all uncompleted verifications and testing required under the original scope of work.

Original scope of work consists of construction of the (base bid) pump station superstructure above elevation 190.0, including dewatering, demolition of existing covers, equipment installation, discharge header pipes to pipeline station 13+50 and all earthwork activities necessary to provide a completed pump station for the Grand Prairie Project. [Note:  Portions of the earthwork were subsequently deleted from the scope of work in Modification No. P00018.]  The work also required the installation of twin, 10 foot inside diameter steel pipes from pipeline station 13+50 to station 22+00, including all earthwork, installation of surge tanks and accessories, manways, cathodic protection and access road under an exercised contract option.

The original contract was terminated after approximately 75% of the required work was performed. Actual percentage complete could be lower based upon condition of work in place.

For informational purposes offerors are being  provided, a general list of work that the Government has identified as unfinished, missing, damaged, non-conforming, or otherwise deficient as well as a list of assumptions known to date are being provided to the contractor as a supplement to the previously awarded plans, specifications, and approved modifications.  This list does not constitute a representation of all work that the contractor may be required to complete or correct, nor does the absence of an item from this list constitute a representation that such work has been performed or conforms to the contract requirements. The contractor will remain responsible for all work necessary to complete the project, including verifying the existence, condition, quantity, and conformance of work identified on the supplemental list.

Previous RFIs, subcontractor lists of inventory, applicable communication, pump and motor reports, and a list of previous subcontractors and vendors will also be available upon request for informational purposes at the District Office.
