Reminder:  Due to the anticipated award amount, a "payment bond" will be required (SF-25A form) and a "performance bond" (SF-25 form) will be required.

From Troy, on Hwy 109 North  turn left on SR 1153. Uwharrie Hunt Camp  is on the right.

From the site POC: " Theres not an actual address for the location. If it had an address, it would be between 200 & 300 Reservation Road. Most of our locations do not have 911 addresses.

Project: Dicky Bell OHV Trail Construction & Kodak Rock OHV Trail Closure -Uwharrie National Forest

"Rain is expected, but it should be very light, and temperatures will be in the high 60s.  Contractors are encouraged to bring a UTV, side-by-side, or vehicle capable of driving in offroad conditions.  The day will involve both driving some trails and walking the proposed new trail routes”

Scope:

1. Construction of 1,975 lineal feet of new trail-Bypass section, located on the Southern portion.

2. Construction of 3,840 lineal feet of new trail -Reroute Section, located on the Northern portion.

3. Closure of the existing Northern section of trail, approximately 2050 lineal feet.

4. Construction of new barricades, repairs of existing barricades, along the central portion of Dicky Bell Trail.

5. Closure and stabilization of the current Kodak Rock Trail.

A pre-bid Site Visit is scheduled for Thursday, January 25th, 2024 at 11 AM EST. Location: Uwharrie National Forest Hunt Camp, 300 Reservation Road, Troy, NC 27371

Note: Any questions resulting from the pre-bid site must be submitted via email to the listed points of contact NLT 1700 EST, Monday January 29th, 2024.  (Attendance to the pre-bid site visit is not mandatory for proposal submission, but highly recommended)

Additional Site Visit Information: "Bidders are encouraged to bring an Off-Highway Vehicle such as a 4 wheeler, dirt bike, or lifted truck to the pre-bid site visit. The site visit will include driving some portions of the OHV Trails to access certain portions of the work"
