Description
The Rumaylan Detention Facility is a new, purpose-built detention facility capable of holding up to 5,200 detainees, if all options are awarded, per the Red Cross’s humanitarian standard of 3.4 square meters per detainee. This project is in northeast Syria near Rumaylan Landing Zone (RLZ) on undeveloped farmland. The work consists of the construction of 20 Detainee Barracks (twelve x barracks on base bid, eight x barracks with all options awarded), one Guard Barracks Facility, one Administration Facility, five Guard Towers, five Guard Shacks, one Detainee Kitchen Facility, one Laundry Facility, one Latrine/Shower Facility, and the respective potable water, wastewater/sewer, and power generation services to have a fully functioning facility.
