Notice of Intent to Sole Source - AFD Burn Box

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District requires one (1) roll off above ground air curtain incinerator (firebox) to be delivered to Albeni Falls Dam Project Office in Oldtown, Idaho.  This machine must meet EPA Air Pollution Control Guidelines.

A J&A has been signed to solicit from a Single Source per FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source or sole source in Accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

The uniqueness and single-source posture of the products designed and manufactured by Air Burners, Inc. is supported by the fact that:

1. The US Government Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA) based on its initiative had entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Air Burners (“CRADA”) to leverage each, Air Burners’ and the Government’s resources on expanded applications of Air Burners systems and technologies through research and development (R&D) for the mutual benefit of both parties.
2. Certain product designs (including S119R) are protected by one or more US Patents, for example, the Roll-off FireBox is protected by US Patent US7895956 – “Roll-off firebox apparatus”.
