Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.
The National Institute of Health/Clinical Center/Office of Purchasing and Contracts intends to award a blanket purchase order to PMT CORPORATION, Chanhassen, Minnesota 55317, to procure electrodes and accessories for Neuro Surgery in The Department of Peri-Operative Medicine at the NIH Clinical Center. The electrodes and accessories help identify and map critical areas of the brain that control speech and motor control, which must be avoided during surgery.
PMT CORPORATION is the only vendor/manufacturer of the electrodes with proprietary specs that can provide electrodes and accessories at a less invasive depth due to a smaller diameter (0.8mm). They are offered with a removable stylet or permanent stylet and as nonmagnetic. These electrodes are intra-cranial strip, grid, or depth electrodes in the patient’s brain and allow for exact mapping of areas causing the onset of seizures. The performance period shall be eight (8) months from the award date. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source.
The estimated product list is attached to this notice and titled – Attachment 1 – List of Supplies 23-005914. The exact quantity of products cannot be estimated at the time of award. The government reserves the right to increase quantities pursuant to FAR 52.217-6.
