Description

This notice is updated to revise the response due date to April 20, 2022.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's (OCC) primary mission is to charter, regulate, and supervise all national banks and Federal savings associations (collectively, Banks). The OCC’s goal in supervising banks and Federal savings associations is to ensure that these entities operate in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with laws requiring fair treatment and access to credit and financial products.

OCC’s Public Affairs (PA) Digital Services directorate is a team of fifteen that is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining OCC’s seven websites (including intranet, internet, and extranet sites), web search, and digital applications used on the websites. PA partners with OCC’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department to complete this work. Public Affairs Digital Services focuses on the communication strategy, content strategy, usability, design, metrics, and publishing of content. ITS focuses on agile software development, contracts management, security, software deployments, and infrastructure hosting and monitoring.

The OCC's web and digital strategy has evolved since 2011. The OCC suspects that maintaining the current operations will show diminished value over the next decade.

The OCC is conducting market research and benchmarking to obtain information to plan for functional/business requirements for OCC’s Public Affairs 2030 digital platforms.

The OCC’s goal of this Request for Information (RFI) Notice is to capture visionary guidance with anticipated changes to:

  • industry digital transformation and digital experience
  • future digital communication needs of a government financial services regulator
  • and the information needs of our users (e.g. bank customers, examiners, congress, media, financial services companies, fintech, and other regulators)

See attachment to this RFI Notice for further details.
