Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Aircraft FACT Tool

The Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) hereby gives notice of their intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Collins Elbit Vision Systems, LLC, 4700 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, TX on a sole source basis. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6(a) (C), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

COMFRC Aviation Support Equipment, Aircraft FACT Tool

COMFRC requires inspection, repairs, and calibration for Aircraft FACT Tool; Part Number (P/N) MB5598B-02; NSN 4920-01-599-9168.  This requirement is a follow-on to previously procured FACT Tool repairs and calibration.

Collins Elbit Vision Systems is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the P/N MB5598B-02 Aircraft FACT Tool, and retains all the proprietary /technical data rights required in order to supply the required and necessary components.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement without impacting the requirement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
