D--NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Northwest Region Office (NWRO), intends to enter into a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract with Comcast, a Non-Indian Owned Business, for cable, internet, fax and voice over IP services at the BIA, Office of Justice Services - District VIII administration building located at 700 E. 5th Street, Building 728, Suite B, Vancouver, WA 98661 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source. Comcast will provide business cable, internet, fax and voice over IP services. Comcast is the only provider of this service in the Vancouver, Washington (Fort Vancouver area). The current internet speeds being provided by Comcast cause the loss of calls for the agents in the building. An internet speed upgrade and updating the analog landlines to digital VOIP is required. No solicitation is available and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 517311 and the Business Size Standard is 1,500 employees. If a firm believes that BIA should not pursue this procurement, it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by February 2nd, 2023, 12:00 PST.
