Description

The C-17 Program Management Office has a requirement that is for a firm-fixed price contract for one (1) each NSN: 1560-01-613-6136, Kit, Installation- Cargo Door Down Lock Cylinder Piston Ring, P/N 17G110678-1, which includes one First Article, one First Article Test Plan, and one First Article Test Report. The cargo door down lock cylinder assembly actuates the cargo door down lock mechanism for both on ground and in-flight operation. The assembly is mounted to the side of the fuselage and locks the cargo door in the closed position. The cylinder is a simple linear actuator consisting of the following parts: a cylinder body assembly that uses a ball bearing for a swivel mounting, a rod end with sleeve bearings for attachment to the cargo door down lock assembly, and the extend and retract ports incorporate rosin adapters. A means is required at the intermediate and depot levels of maintenance to remove and replace the piston head and to reinstall new seals and back-up rings on the piston head. The piston head has two perpendicular slots on the face of the piston head creating interface points where torque can be applied. Delivery is FOB Destination with shipments in the continental United States. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% SB set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria stated in the RFQ. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED.
