Description
The contractor will perform an evaluation of existing wildfire, wildland urban interface (WUI), and structure fire spatial risk indices and existing risk analytical methodologies currently in use and/or in development today. The contractor will develop a technical
approach to achieve the most effective and accurate fire risk index and assessment methodology based on available data, methods, and models. The contractor will prototype a national fire risk index and assessment methodology using public, nationally available data for validation. Upon successful completion and validation of the prototype, the contractor will apply the methodology at national scale and transfer the resulting dataset into a USFA/FEMA GIS environment. This effort will be a collaborative engagement between the Contractor, USFA, and FEMA subject matter experts and will engage other experts on fire risk analytics and modeling from other federal entities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as necessary and available.
