The Air Force is planning early acquisition efforts for Next Generation Countermeasures for
deployment on the Sentinel (GBSD) weapon system. This Request for Information (RFI) is
intended to gather information and feedback from potential sources as part of market research for
the Next Generation Countermeasures effort. The Air Force is requesting information from
industry partners on the development of advanced countermeasures for current and future reentry
vehicles (RVs). Key advanced countermeasure attributes may include enhancements in accuracy,
lethality, survivability, etc. Any countermeasure performance attributes, goals, or requirements
listed in the RFI are intended to solicit initial interest, capabilities, and background from the
industrial base to determine viability. The acquisition strategy, contract strategy, and number of
contracts to be awarded is yet to be defined. This RFI will determine the industrial base of
contractors interested and will aid the government in determining contractor capabilities.

The RFI is Secret/Collateral. To obtain a copy of the RFI and security classification guide (SCG)

Responses are due 26 April 2023 by 1400MST. Details on how to submit responses is contained
in the RFI. If your company is interested in receiving a copy of the RFI please contact the
individuals below and include:

The government will be hosting one-on-ones the week of 8 May, 2023 at Hill AFB, Utah. Exact
location and times will be provided at scheduling. The meeting will not exceed 45 minutes. To
request a one-on-one, please contact the POCs below. The purpose of the one-on-one will be for
companies to inquire about the Next Generation Countermeasures acquisition, RFI, and/or
provide a capability brief to the government.

answered prior to the closing of this RFI. Answers may be posted to sam.gov.


THIS IS A RFI ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does
not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI
does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the
U.S. Air Force (USAF) is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited
proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or
administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this
RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude
participation in any future RFP, if one is issued.
