*** National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Acquisition & Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Boulder, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1),
Under the name of Rose Electronics Distributing Company, LLC and Energy Sales LLC of San Jose California for the purchase of 25 (twenty-five) Alkaline battery pack FLEX 04-10_Large pack Part number: ES5169 and for the purchase of a quantity of 25 (twenty-five) Alkaline battery pack FLEX 04-10 Small pack Part number: ES5170.
***The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA), Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) for the purchase of proprietary batteries from the Rose Electronics Distributing Company, LLC is required for the compatibility to the existing requirement and provides an essential single source power for the RFLEX systems for surface and subsurface instrument controller and modem GPS module, Iridium communications module, data logging module, RF communications modem. The integrated TFLEX electronics package requires an uninterrupted, robust and precisely regulated power source to function properly. This brand is the only known brand currently which supports the mission without decrease or failure in the ability to collect data or burn out the electronic components and circuit boards in the TFLEX.
Delivery will be by May 30, 2024 or sooner.
***This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can fully meet the Government’s requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Such documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
