Description

United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center-Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (ERDC-CHL) has a requirement for expansion of the current Flood Fight Basin in order to increase capability to track solid and liquid surfaces.  This requirement includes six (6) HiTECH Minilasers 62, two (2) VEGAPULS 31 compact radar sensors and one (1) LDM Switch cabinet 5x with required accessories. ERDC-CHL intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to HiTech Technologies in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

HiTech Technologies - Six (6) HiTECH Minilasers 62, two (2) VEGAPULS 31 compact radar sensors and one (1) LDM Switch cabinet 5x with required accessories. This particular enhancement package is critical to the current Flood Fight Basin. These enhancements will allow interoperability with the current Flood Fight Basin System by enhancing the ability of the current system to function with radar-based technology and expand capabilities in detection of barrier seepage and water basin levels.

In addition, the ERDC-CHL program has a current AsTech LDM laser system currently and it has been developed for drivers and integration into our Flood Fight Basin. It functions correctly and substantial government resources have been invested into the Flood Fight Basin.

Due to these reasons HiTech Technologies is the sole source for this procurement.
