Description

THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO POST AN AMENDMENT 0002. AMENDMENT 0002 IS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS THE GOVERNMENT HAS RECIEVED. THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS NOT EXTENDED. 

THIS IS A SOLICITATION NOTICE AS WELL AS SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 0001. This requirement is for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division which will be a Job Order Contract (JOC) for minor construction. The purpose of this JOC is to provide specialty trade alteration, repairs, and construction services with minimal design requirements for new minor construction, facility repair, rehabilitation, and alterations for a broad range of renovation and construction work. This JOC is intended to provide rapid response for construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and repair of real property in a cost effective manner. Task orders for design only shall not be placed against the contract. However, minimal design services related to construction may be required. Firm-fixed-price task orders for construction will be placed against the contract. The successful offeror must be able perform multiple task orders simultaneously.


The scope of these task orders will include but is not limited to interior painting, flooring replacement, door replacement, furniture removal, lighting fixtures replacement and minor electrical work; not every task order will include all listed services. Existing flooring consists mostly of carpet tiles with some areas of tile and linoleum; the new flooring is expected to be vinyl tile flooring (LVT) and carpet tiles as determined per task order. Painting surfaces will vary with each task order and include interior walls, doors, door trim, window trim, columns, handrails, and ceilings. The minor electrical work will be re-positioning existing circuits and if necessary utilizing spares on electrical panels for additional circuits to support office furniture.


This requirement will be awarded as a Single Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The performance period will be for a Five (5) year ordering period. Per FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the
estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement has been updated to 236220 -Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the annual size standard is $45.0M. This requirement has been set aside for only HUBZone Small Businesses.
