Infinium Methylation Epic Array Kit

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Diagenode, Inc.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement as described below.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute intends to issue a purchase order to Diagenode, Inc.  for an Infinium Methylation EPIC Array Kit.  Diagenode is a leading global provider of complete solutions for epigenetics research, biological samples preparations and diagnostics assays. The company has extensive experience using the Illumina platforms and the Infinium Methylation EPIC Array Kit. Diagenode can provide a quick turnaround time for processing the 480 samples needed. This project was initiated in August of 2021 and Diagenode provided the methylation service. The new requirement is a continuation of previous work, and it is imperative that the work be continued with the same provider. This will allow for continuity of the data generation process and will allow us to do cross comparison or even combine the two projects together to increase our statistical power. Making an award to another vendor could compromise the continuity of the project and result in duplication of effort and cost.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.  However, any party that believes it can satisfy the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports its ability to provide the analysis platform and continuity of the data generation.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued within seven (7) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
