Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N00167-22-R-0011 for 11 Meter Support Craft (MSC) Overhaul/Technical Refresh in Kodiak, Alaska.
This is a requirement to provide overhaul, modernization, and alteration for three 11 MSCs watercraft in separate availabilities. All of the 11 MSC industrial support taskings will be conducted in Kodiak, AK. The contractor shall accomplish tasking to include engine replacement, surface preparation, painting, trailer repairs, various electrical repairs, various structural repairs, various mechanical repairs and various hardware replacements.
Sources Sought/RFI Notice N0016721-11MSCBOATREPAIR was posted to SAM.gov on 12 August 2021 with responses due 26 August 2021 for the purpose of providing information to industry for review/response to a future requirement for the 11 MSC watercraft. A Draft Description/Specifications (DS) was provided to assist vendors with understanding NSWCCD’s requirement and to solicit comments and questions from potential interested parties. Based on the results of the Sources Sought/RFI responses, it has been determined to proceed with issuing the contract as a small business set-aside. The activity’s small business office concurs with this determination. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336612 Boat Building, employee size standard 1,000.
The Government intends to award a single-award Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The effective period for this acquisition is anticipated to be from 01 May 2022 through 30 April 2024.
The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments will be in electronic form. THE SOLICITATION IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. Once available, the solicitation will be posted to this website https://sam.gov under solicitation number N00167-22-R-0011. The solicitation is expected to be released in February 2022.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Government. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at SAM.gov.
