Description

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, seeks a contractor to perform the construction of John Day Navigation Lock Downstream Gate Bearing Shoe Repair - Phase 2, and incidental related work.  The work includes replacement of approximately 72 ft of bearing shoes as base CLINs ('Middle 1/3') and 90 ft of bearing shoes as optional CLINs ('Top 1/3') for the north and south sides of the Navigation Lock Downstream Gate and incidental related work.  Presently, the bearing shoes are at risk of failure due to sustained lateral cracking along the epoxy fill holes.  This is a follow-on effort of the previous ‘Bottom 1/3’ of the bearing shoes that were replaced in March 2018.  The work is located at the Navigation Lock of John Day Dam, in Klickitat County, Washington.
