The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issues solicitation 15BFA023B00000021 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Medium Temperature Hot Water Line Replacement, located in Minersville, Pennsylvania.
Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Schuylkill is a federally owned facility located at Interstate 81 & 901 West, Minersville, PA 17954. The project consists of the following:
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment for the Medium Temperature Hot Water Line Replacement at FCI Schuylkill. The project includes the replacement of a medium temperature hot water system to serve the institution with heating and domestic hot water. Work includes selective demolition, earthwork, pipe and appurtenances installation, selective interior pipe replacement, restoration, erosion control, and associated work.

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 237110 with a corresponding small business size standard of $45 million. The solicitation is set aside exclusively for small business contractors.
