Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for quotes. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Bruker Scientific, 40 Manning Road, MA 01821
This is a renewal maintenance agreement for the Bruker Microflex. The Protein Chemistry Section (PCS) of the Research Technologies Branch (RTB) enables intramural NIAID investigators to use state-of-the-art applications in mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, peptide synthesis and analysis, and protein sequencing in their research programs. Peptide synthesis and analysis provides synthetic peptides, peptide-carrier protein conjugates, peptide purification, and quality control analyses. In addition, RTB staff is available for advice and consultations. In cooperation with protein sequencing and mass spectrometry, extensive support is available for expert analysis and characterization of peptides, proteins, and small bio-molecules.
The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C.1901 (a) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES.
All responsible sources that could provide comparable services may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-NIAID-2151533) to Skye Duffner at skye.duffner@nih.gov, by 10:00 am eastern standard time, December 23, 2022. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
