Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for 5/8” (15.9 mm) diameter bars of American Iron and Steel Institute-Society of Automotive Engineers (AISI-SAE) 4340 steel bars from the following heats: J5803-2 (up to 1,300 lbs.), J4906-1 (up to 400 lbs.), and J4943-3 (up to 600 lbs.). The Government reserves the right to purchase additional quantities. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested.
The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 33110 – Iron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees and is a set aside 100 percent for small business. This is a firm-fixed price purchase order.
The Government intends to procure supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government requires all contractors doing business with the Government to be registered with the System of Award Management (SAM) at the time the quote is submitted. Award will not be made to any contractor that is not registered in SAM.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-01, effective 11/12/2024. Please follow the Offeror Instructions in the solicitation document.
