This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc. Address: 250 Circuit Drive North Kingstown, RI 02852 United States. The requirement to procure a scanning and probing robotic arm for quality assurance inspection classroom training. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirement. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR part 12 Acquisition of Commercial items, applies.

A determination by the government not to compete this requirement is solely at the discretion of the government. However, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The applicable NAICS Code is 334513 and the business size standard is 750 employees.

Be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. Questions by phone or fax will not be considered. All responses received by this date may be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
