Description

Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare
Centers (NIWC) Atlantic and Pacific announce the Information Warfare Research Project
(IWRP) Consortium Virtual Industry Day hosted by Advanced Technology International
(ATI), the IWRP consortium management firm, on Wednesday, 20 March 2024.
The event will include technical briefs and one-on-one break-out sessions with scheduled IWRP consortium
members.

It is anticipated that the topics may be the basis of upcoming Requests for Prototype
Projects (RPPs) to IWRP consortium members. This is not an RPP and is intended for
planning purposes only. A project will not be awarded from this announcement. In order
to obtain more information regarding the below projects, you must be a member of the
IWRP consortium. For more information on becoming an IWRP consortium member,
please visit https://www.theiwrp.org. The purpose of this announcement is to provide
members of the IWRP consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of
government intent.

The Government will be presenting one (1) Pre-Solicitation Collaboration (PSC), which
will include a short brief and a one-on-one breakout session. The PSC topic consists of the
following:

1) Title: Aircraft C4ISR Prototype Ruggedized Workstation: Presenter John Smith 24-LANT-2074
Short Description: The (United States Navy) USN is seeking tech refresh hardware to address
obsolescence issues with a legacy workstation that will address current and future obsolescence and
compatibility issues with the goal of supportability past 2030.
1. Several compatibility issues have been identified as the software transitions to RHEL 8.
2. This new hardware will support Navy Aircraft Command, Control, Communications, Computers,
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems with a corresponding operational
environment.

The Government will be presenting two (2) Request for Prototype Projects (RPP),
which will include a short brief and one-on-one breakout sessions. The RPP topics consists of the
following:

1) Title: Modular Cabinet Design: Presenter Derrick Christensen 24-HQ-1996
Short Description: The government is seeking a technical feasibility study (i.e. white paper) for a modular
cabinet design that will include cable management recommendations, rear cabinet maintenance
accessibility, and recommended dimensions based on current Commercial off the Shelf Information
Technology. The government will provide technical requirements. Based on the given requirements, the
technical feasibility study will provide a recommended integrated engineering solution to a modular
cabinet design implementing a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).

2) Title: Software Agility Layer – Presenter Dexter Fredericks 24-LANT-XXXX
Short Description: The Government is seeking to design a seamless data integration capability as an
agility layer bridging the gap between old systems, new systems, cloud and on-prem systems in the cloud,
and mobility. Thus, allowing workflows and business processes to evolve separately from underlying
transactional data, workflows and data taxonomy, with the ability to link between them at any point.
