Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service:
The Army Public Health Center (APHC) requires continued maintenance and support on Canberra/Marion Equipment, for Laboratory Sciences (LS), to perform high quality environmental inorganic analysis. This is A non-personal services contract to provide preventive maintenance and repair services on the equipment identified.
This instrumentation includes the following (6) systems:
(3) S5XLB Alpha/Beta Counting Systems
(1) LB5500 Alpha/Beta Counting System
(1) Gamma Spectroscopy System
(1) Alpha Analyst System
The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract (12-month base period plus four (4) one year option periods) to Mirion Technologies, Inc., formerly Canberra Industries, Inc., 800 Research Pkwy, Meriden CT 06450-7169. Mirion Technologies Inc., is the previous contract holder and due to the continued need for equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance, operational control and technical capabilities necessary to adequately continue performance, has been deemed critical.
The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the Business Size Standard is $22M.
All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), 15 July 2022.
