Description
Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Rome, Italy, intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the furnishing and installation of an existing carpet flooring in an office space located in Embassy compound. The interested area is of about 80 sqm. The successful offeror shall furnish labor, material, and equipment to perform the work as required in the contract. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price type purchase order.
Short project scope description:
The Embassy of the United States in Rome, Italy has a requirement to replace about 80 sqm. of carpet laid over an old and historical “venetian type” floor in an office space.
This project shall require qualified technicians to perform the removal and installation of the carpet, who shall carefully remove the existing carpet and properly install the new floor carpeting. The successful offeror shall be assisted during the entire performance of the work by a qualified and certified Cultural Heritage Restorer.
Qualified companies interested in this solicitation shall express their interest by written correspondence to the following e-mail address RomeGSO-AcquisitionsDL@state.gov, no later than August 31, 2024, using the solicitation no. 191T7024Q0035 in the subject line.
All request for a copy of the solicitation MUST include the following information: Name of Firm, Name, Telephone and E-mail address of Point of Contact, and complete physical and mailing address of firm.
The solicitation package/documents shall NOT be placed on SAM. Only companies submitting a letter of interest shall receive a copy of the solicitation package/documents when available.
Additionally, you are required to include in your expression of interest the below checklist. All requests for the solicitation document that are submitted without the checklist, or with an incomplete checklist, will be rejected.
Companies shall possess all appropriate permits and licensed to perform work in Italy. Please enclose in your e-mail at a minimum a copy of a valid Italian Company Registration Report “Visura della Camera di Commercio italiana” .
The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and site visit tentatively scheduled for early September 2024, details of which will be provided to interested offerors with the solicitation package.
