Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) issues a solicitation for MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Support, a new requirement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541330 with a Size Standard of $41.5 million. The anticipated performance periods will span five (5) years. The first ordering period is anticipated to begin October 2023.
This procurement will result in a Contract that shall provide MK 41 VLS ISEA support. Specifics are as follows: Latch Rod Adjustment, Cell Hatch Refurbishment, Deluge Valve Overhaul, and Engineering and Technical Services in support of the Navy Modernization Programs of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Systems. The system includes the weapon system and the associated HM&E support requirement. The services being requested require a certified MK 41 VLS System Maintenance Technician (SMT) or Test Director (TD), which is a qualification granted by PEO IWS 3L. Only Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) certified TDs, SMTs, and Navy Vertical Launch Systems Advanced Technicians (VATS) are permitted to perform procedures other than those in basic shipboard documents (i.e. Tech Manuals, MRCs, and UMRCs). The company that is awarded this contract should be able to perform all tasks and system integration with the required personnel.
Amendment 1
The purpose of this amendment is to provide clarification to a question and update the language of various sections of the solicitation.
