Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) on behalf of VISN 20 Northwest Healthcare Network intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price one (1) year contract to provide annual preventative maintenance and repair services for the inventory of Hill-Rom Hospital Beds in service at the Portland VAMC with HILL-ROM, INC, 1069 State Rte 46 E, Batesville, IN 47006 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b): Only One awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation will be made. Interested parties verified in SAM may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement that includes an authorization/certification letter from the OEM manufacturer/supplier HILL-ROM, INC verifying ability to provide maintenance, and support services in compliance with OEM specifications: NLT June 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required OEM services to include OEM technician certifications and OEM authorized distributor documentation for replacement parts. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C26022Q0594 Special Notice of Intent. If after June 17, 2022, and no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with HILL-ROM, INC.
