Notice of Intent to Sole Source -- NASA Agency-Wide Supply of Liquid Hydrogen

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Office of Procurement intends to extend the current contract, 80KSC020D0004, with Linde.  This action will result in a modification that extends the period of performance from November 30, 2022 to February 28, 2023 for the continued supply of liquid hydrogen required by NASA.  The proposed extension is based upon the exclusion found at Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 and 41 United States Code 3304(a)(1), which authorizes other than full and open competition when there is only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.

This is a notice of the intent to extend the period of performance on an existing contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any costs associated with responses to this notice will be provided.
