Description
Reduction of deferred maintenance will be accomplished by renovating one (1) trailhead and two (2) picnic grounds, which may include replacing two (2) vault toilet structures, two (2) asphalt parking areas, concrete walkways, and associated sitework to improve accessibility to these recreation facilities.
The Brainard Lake Recreation Area is located approximately 23 miles north-west of Denver, Colorado or approximately 2 miles west of the town of Ward, Colorado.
Directions to Brainard Lake Recreation Area from Boulder: Drive approximately 10 miles north of Boulder and then turn west onto Lefthand Canyon Drive. Drive west approximately 17 miles to the town of Ward. Turn north onto Highway 72 for approximately 100 yards and then turn west onto Brainard Lake Road and travel approximately 3 miles to the project sites.
