Description
INL/Honduras has a requirement for training on the X-ray Inspection System IP6500 donated to the Honduran Frontier Police – HFP / (Dirección Nacional de Servicios Policiales Fronterizos – (DNSPF). This initiative is aimed to improve law enforcement security to counter trafficking, contraband, human smuggling, illicit drug activities, weapons trade, border criminal activities, and overall transnational crime. Honduras has been a channel country to transport drugs from South America to North America leading to a rapid growth in criminal networks associated with these activities. This training of the nonintrusive imaging (NII) system that will help Honduran security officers intercept illicit narcotics and other threats along the Honduras-Guatemala border, enhancing security and inspection operations. Training will be delivered in Omoa Cortes, Honduras.
