Description

This is a sole source solicitation for Cepheid.

This is a base plus three option year requirement for the maintenance of the Cepheid (1) GeneXpert IV and (1) GeneXpert XVI analyzers which are used for virus detection.  The GeneXpert IV and GeneXpert XVI provide the ability to detect a variety of organisms and are used for COVID testing of individuals traveling on missions abroad. Not having a service/maintenance contract would increase the turn around time for results up to three days (3) if samples were shipped to other military facilities or civilian laboratories due to any instrument failure. Please see attached performance work statment for more details.
