The QIAcuity dPCR machine is fully integrated meaning that all the parts required for the experiment are built into the system. The result is a platform that is surprisingly small, 24 inches by 23 inches. Due to the limitations of space in the lab that this PCR will be used/housed in the size/dimensions of the PCR is a perfect fit. This is the only dPCR instrument that we can accommodate the allotted space, etc. in the lab. The QIAcuity is also unique in its performance, the handling of the QIAcuity is much more automated with no transitioning between steps and no droplet generation. The QIAcuity can analyze 96 samples simultaneously and this assay of 96 samples is accomplished in under 2 hours. This is more than twice as fast as the similar platforms.
