THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following supply:
Police Radio Console for the Boise, ID VAMC. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, materials, supplies, tools, equipment and transportation to perform installation of this supply in accordance with the specifications outlined in this contract.

The VA Police would like to request a computer dispatch radio console to be used for daily and emergency situations.
This console will need to operate in a system with no less than eight P25 compliant radios. The console must be able to be connected and operate several dual band and quad band consolette radios.
This console must be fully functional with the Ada County Sheriffs Office radio system and Idaho State radio system which operate on a Motorola system.
The console will need to have the following abilities.
Continuously monitor and transmit on six or more VHF/UHF/700/800/900 channels/talkgroups
Display unit IDs/alias for radios transmitting on VHF/UHF/700/800/900.
The unit must have its own unique alias and identifier
Have four speakers to monitor several channels/talkgroups at a time
Include a computer, keyboard, monitor, and mouse to operate the console
Ability to have three or more patches simultaneously using a combination of VHF/UHF/700/800/900 channels/talkgroups
Must have the same functionality of having no less than an eight port short-haul combiner
Send call alerts to portable radios
Receive call alerts from portable radios
Send text messages between the console and portable radios
Send group text messages between the console and portable radios
Receive and display emergency alerts from portable radios
Operate as a self-contained unit and not depend on any other computer or system
Include end points that support trunking
Operate on a trunked radio system
