Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office located in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to solicit for the provision of Ambulance and Medical Transportation services at the Federal Medical Center – Lexington located at Lexington, Kentucky 40511. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirement contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period form date of award through 12 months, with (4) one-year option periods.   

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621910-Ambulance Services, (Size Standard: $22,500,000.00). This solicitation is being issued as an unrestricted open market opportunity. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The contractor must be able to respond to FMC Lexington, 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511 within 15 minutes of notification, and be able to provide services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day including all federal holidays. The contractor shall provide in their quotation, an accurate map and a written description of the geographical service area which shall identify with specificity the complete boundary of the area served by the provider. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a one year base period with four one year option periods for renewal and a six month option to extend at the discretion of the Government.

All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State and County policies and regulations. The contractor will provide services in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Government anticipates requiring an estimated 366 adults in custody medical transportation trips during each one year performance period.

The solicitation will be made available on or about December  5, 2024 and will be distributed solely through the System for Award Management (SAM) website at https://www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions.
