Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), is seeking quotes to provide Vascular-Thoracic Surgical Services for the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) located at 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL. The period of performance of the resultant contract will be for a period of one year, plus four one-year option years to extend. The Contractor shall propose a pool of at least three surgeons (key personnel) to be credentialed and be available for scheduling to meet the requirements of the contract. All Contractor s physicians shall be Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board in one or more of the following specialties: Thoracic Surgery with noted vascular training, Vascular Surgery, or Cardiothoracic/ Cardiovascular Surgery. Physicians must be able to obtain Vascular Surgery privileges, in addition to Thoracic Surgery privileges. Additionally, all Contractor s physicians shall hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Contractor s physicians shall provide comprehensive clinical Vascular-Thoracic Surgical Services, including but not limited to the following: clinics, on-call services, and surgical procedures including but not limited to Thoracic Procedures such as: Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Lobectomy, thoracotomy, diaphragm plication, chest wall hernia repair, decortication, pleurectomy, chest tube management w/tPA, along with other complex Thoracic surgery procedures and Vascular Surgical procedures, including but not limited to: dialysis access (AV Fistulas, AV Grafts, and Perm-a-Cath placements), extremity vascular procedures, and other vascular surgical procedures as indicated. Tumor board participation is also required. This procurement is unrestricted and open to businesses of all socioeconomic categories. The size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) 621111 is $16.0 Million.
