Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.
1. This RFI is issued solely to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any potential future RFQ. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor SAM.gov for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research, a continuous process for collecting and analyzing information about capabilities within the market to satisfy agency needs. The acquisition strategy has not yet been determined and market research results will assist in determining the direction this acquisition may take.
2. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Responses are requested from all business sizes.
3. Technical Specifications for Under Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS):
a. License Plate Reader that will record the scan of each vehicle, store the data and report irregularities back to the entry control.
b. Mobile UVSS that can be easily moved by a single person for setup and teardown, rapidly deployed in 15 minutes or less and record vehicle license plates at a distance of 20 meters and hold weight up to 40 tons.
c. More permanent UVSS for the large vehicle inspection station that is surface mounted and NOT underground installed.
d. Systems include install, training, and warranty from same company.
4. Responses must address the following:
a. Provide a capability statement to show the ability to meet requirement.
b. Provide similar past performance contract numbers, dollar value, etc.
c. Provide point of contact, email, phone number, and SAM unique number (UEI) or CAGE Code.
d. Provide GSA contract number, if applicable.
e. Provide information if the NAICS is correct or if a different NAICS is a better fit. Please specify the different NAICS, if applicable, and explain why.
f. Include whether you are a small or large business. If small business, please specify what type.
g. Any other comments relevant to this requirement.
