Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 The VA Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8) intents to issue a single source procurement to Canon Medical Systems USA Inc., who is the equipment OEM authorized service representative for the geographical area where equipment is located. Proposed services contract is for Maintenance and Repair Services of Canon radiographic diagnostic imaging medical equipment, for a period of performance consisting of a base year, plus four one-year option periods. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, a manufacturer certified service technician is required to provide the services. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 811210 with a business size standard of $34.0 Million and PSC J065. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a notice of intent to award a single-source procurement action and is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation package is available. Firms who want to challenge the single source must show clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the services, and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses are to be submitted via email to Aurea Gonzalez Aurea.Gonzalez@va.gov no later than October 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM AST (Puerto Rico Local Time) A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NCO-8 will not provide any reimbursement for any costs associated or connected with providing any capabilities information.
