Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 *=Required Field Presolicitation Notice Page 1 of 3 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) End User Operations (EUO) External Beeper/Pager Continuation of Services 36C10B23Q0084 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing pager services for VA locations across the 50 United States. Please see the attached draft Performance Work Statement for additional details. At this time, VA is contemplating a potential requirement to sustain its existing messaging commercial leased beeper and maintenance services providing one-way and two-way alpha and numeric messaging throughout the VA contiguous United States locations. The anticipated period of performance is 12-months and (4) four 12-month option periods. Optional tasks are anticipated to ensure continued satisfactory use of this legacy technology. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 517112. See specific requirements in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the VA in developing its acquisition strategy. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. Due to a lack of response from industry, this RFI Amendment 0001 is to extend the RFI response due date and time. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and submit responses to the items listed below. If interested please provide the following: Please indicate whether you are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and if so under which North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code(s) are you considered a Small Business (as stated in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database). Provide any questions/concerns on the Draft PWS. Within Attachment A, the VA is requesting that interested parties indicate their capability for providing native coverage to the locations listed with a Yes or a No . VA has defined this coverage within the Draft PWS in Section 3.0 Scope of Work. A capability statement describing your company s ability to meet the requirements in the attached draft PWS.
