Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This is not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting official listed herein. ALL INQUIRES SHALL BE IN WRITING.
REQUIREMENT: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement for the purchase of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Philadelphia Electrical Equipment Company (PEECO) 60kW 450VAC 3 PH SHIP SERVICE DIESEL GENERATORs. This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine PEECO parts from the OEM. The parts listed below are used on board the USCG 87’ Coastal Patrol Boats.

This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Aftermarket parts are not acceptable. The Coast Guard does not own the rights to the technical data necessary to evaluate other parts.
This Sources Sought notice is being issued to obtain information on what items are available in the market. The USCG will enter into a contract with only one vendor; therefore, providing information on one item will not be acceptable for consideration for future purchases. The Government will allow competitive offers to be submitted; however, all offers must be based on providing genuine OEM parts. Remanufactured or aftermarket parts are not acceptable. The Government DOES NOT possess the necessary drawings, technical specifications, etc., to supply with this requirement. This information is proprietary to the OEM. For these reasons, it is anticipated that only components produced by the OEM, whether new or reconditioned, will be accepted. All costs including packaging, marking and bar-coding in accordance with Attachment II shall be incorporated in the cost of each part. Pricing is not requested at this time. Standard manufacturer warranty is required. The anticipated NAICS Code is 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing. The solicitation for this procurement will be posted at SAM.gov.
Period of Performance: It is anticipated that one firm, fixed-price, multi-year contract with five (5) ordering periods will be awarded for this requirement.

- Evidence of experience in supplying the required items to include contract numbers, project titles and dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable.
All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made for a small business set aside. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a small business set aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted at www.SAM.gov.

Regardless of the information submitted, the Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as determined appropriate for this requirement.
