1240LT24R0058THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT JULY 31, 2024. 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The GAOA Parque Creek Road Repair project will consist of repairing a road segment that has slumped down the embankment at ~MP 4.2 of NFSR 504. Material from the failed road prism will be excavated, sorted, and stockpiled for future use, or hauled to a designated waste area. Two waste areas are anticipated for the project. The first waste area is located adjacent to the slide location and the second is approximately 1.15 miles from the slide location. Special rock embankment will be placed in the excavation area followed by unclassified burrow material sourced from the excavated material, a 6” layer of roadway aggregate will be placed on top to provide the finished driving surface. See Sheet A2 of plans for detailed typical section. Work will require hauling large quantities of material from commercial pit source(s), sorting and hauling excavated material, placing, and compacting special rock embankment, unclassified burrow material and aggregate under moisture-controlled conditions, and improving/maintaining haul route(s) and access roads on the National Forest Service Road System. Minor clearing, grubbing, seeding, and erosion control work will be performed. Finish grading, installation of culverts, slope grading, and misc. work will be included in the project. Traffic control will be required for Base items and Option Items. 

PROJECT LOCATION: All work occurs on the South Zone of the Shoshone National Forest in the Wind River Ranger District. NFSR 285, Wiggins Fork and NFSR 504, Parque Circle
Contractors shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies (unless specified elsewhere as Government-furnished), and incidentals required to accomplish specified work in compliance with the terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract. Work is estimated to begin around September 15, 2024. Engineering point of contact is Justin Pikar, telephone (307)578-7473. Both performance and payment bonds will be required for this project as well as a bid guarantee. Estimated project value is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS is 327310 and the small business size standard is 39.5M.
