PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential offerors capable of providing cleaning and maintenance services for the Marley 8-cell cooling tower at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468). The proposed contract action is expected to be a Firm Fixed Price contract with a 60-day period of performance, approximately August 15, 2024, through October 14, 2024.
STATEMENT OF WORK SUMMARY:
The James J. Peters VA Medical Center requires the following services:
Check alignment of the fan cylinder and fan blades and adjust per manufactures recommendations.
Pressure wash the fan cylinder and fan blades, hot water basins, drift eliminators, and the interior of the cooling tower
Inspect the interior of the cooling tower and ensure system hygiene.
Clean and inspect the fill.
Flush debris from under the fill
Vacuum all the mud and debris from the bottom of the cooling tower sump.
Perform complete cleaning of sump screens including housing, drains lines, and grills.
Remove and replace media sand filter material.
Perform control panel and systems function check.
Perform gearbox service.
All work shall be completed in accordance with the following regulations:
