Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs is issuing this sources sought notice for the purpose of determining market capability of sources or obtaining information to identify capable vendors that have an interest in providing DirecTV service via a firm-fixed price contract. It does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services discussed herein. Any formal solicitation that may subsequently be issued will be announced separately through SAM.Gov. Information on the specific topic of interest is provided in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Department of Veterans Affairs nor any other part of the federal government will be responsible for any cost incurred by responders in furnishing this information. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 515210. See the attached Statement of Work associated with this procurement. The primary place of performance is VA Medical Center 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI,02908. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these services, please provide the following information: (1) Organization name, address, point of contact, email address, Web site address, and telephone number. (2) Business size: small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc. (3) Business type under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 515210, which contains a size standard of $41.5 Million, CAGE Code and DUNS Number. (4) Tailored capability statements addressing the requirements in the Statement of Work, including documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. (5) Any additional information that the Government could provide in a potential solicitation to facilitate accurate proposal responses. This service contract specifies that the contractor shall provide service satellite TV service in B-1 at the facility indicated: VA Medical Center Providence RI 830 Chalkstone Avenue Providence, RI 02908 Phone: (401) 273-7100 ext. 12510 Primary Care Practice Hours: 8AM 4:30PM Monday Friday Requirements Building 1 Provide satellite television service for patient rooms (132 units) that will include the following channels for building one. Channels will be distributed to the 132 units via the television distribution system currently installed in building one, telecom closet eight. Each channel will have a dedicated standard definition digital satellite receiver; the output signal from each satellite receiver will be distributed to the various locations in building one via customers TV distribution system. There will be no decoder, mini-box, or other peripherals necessary to provide satellite broadcast signal installed at any of the TVs or anywhere other than building one, telecom closet eight (TV head end room). There will be no digital rights management software installed or permitted. Contractor will provide, install, connect, program, and commission the necessary satellite receivers (one receiver per channel listed below), satellite dish, LNB, and freestanding non-penetrating roof mount as part of this contract. Signal wiring is preexisting and will be reused by this installation. Receivers will connect to existing channel modulators which will require programming to accept incoming signal from the satellite receivers to distribute signal to the building.
