Description

This notice is a PreSolicitation/Synopsis for a commercial material procurement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to award one (1) Firm-Fixed Price contract to  Mid-Atlantic Acoustics, Inc (CAGE 1KVV1) as the manufacturer of the Noise Barriers Acoustic Panels, Door, and associated mounting components. 

NSWCPD has a requirement for the modification of the commerically available components to meet the specifications of the current acoustic encloure, which is comprised of the Noise Barrier panels and compoents. The enclosure design, based on a modified HP-55 QuietMod acoustic panel, is exclusive to Noise Barriers and its authorized resellers. These acoustic panels and door are direct replacements for the damaged panels and door procured under MILCON P-547 enclosure system.

The Government intends to solicit with only one source under Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901(e)(2). Interested Persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a subsequent quotation. This notice of intent is not a request for compeitive quotations and does not constitue a solicitation. However, all responses received prior to the colsing date, will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
