The G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery VA Medical Center, Facilities Management Service, intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed price contract to POWER EQUIPMENT COMPANY OF MEMPHIS, Unique Entity ID VJ65H5G4E251, 3050 Broad Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38112-3004 for the following services: Preventive Inspection, Testing, and Tuning for Cleaver-Brooks Water Tube Boilers. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The manufacturer, Cleaver Brooks Company, Inc., has specifically designated Power Equipment Company of Memphis as the Exclusive Regional Representative for Cleaver Brooks Products and Services in various states including the entire state of Mississippi (where the requested services will be performed). With the exception of Power Equipment Company of Memphis, Cleaver-Brooks Company, Inc. (the OEM) does not utilize third party contractors, distributors, and/or other parties to service, repair, and/or to perform other work on Cleaver Brooks equipment and systems in the state of Mississippi.
