Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is pleased to solicit bids and subsequently award a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Expand Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Construction project at the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) located at 3001 Green Bay Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The James A. Lovell FHCC is seeking a general contractor to furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supervision to construct and renovate the Expand Sterile Processing Service project consistent with provided Drawings and Specifications. This construction project will include but is not limited to the construction of a new addition to Building 133CA to house a new SPS and the renovation of the existing SPS adjacent spaces in Building 133CA.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation is issued as a “Invitation for Bid” (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation is advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The period of performance is approximately 548 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
