The 316th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to MellingMedical in accordance with (IAW) FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) Only one responsible source is capable of responding. OCULUS, Inc. is the manufacturer of Pentacam HR, and In the case of this acquisition, Melling medical is the sole authorized distributor from which the Government can acquire these products form and avoid significant duplication of cost to the Government and delays in meeting the mission’s needs". A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339112 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose if determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice.
