Description

Provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, and construction necessary for the construction of the project described herein and other specific tasks as further defined by this Request for Proposal (RFP).  The contractor shall not match existing materials but shall use hospital-grade materials as designated in the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) technical information library (TIL) and/or industry standards for healthcare facilities relevant to space usage. Reference section VII, Resources, below. In addition, shall comply with the Buy American Act (BAA).

The project requires the installation of new ductwork, piping, and selected duct cleaning at Building 1 -2nd and 3rd-floor Research Area (North and South wards as shown on drawings and specifications.

The contractor shall be required to furnish:

  1. Selective replacement of AC ductwork through Building 1 - 2nd and  3rd floor at Research Facilities North and South Sections. Installation of mechanical and electrical equipment as shown on plans.
  2. Selective duct cleaning through Building 1 at MVAM.
  3. Provide several hot water terminal units and all associated hot water piping through Building 1.
