Description
The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract pursuant to FAR Part 12, “Acquisition of Commercial Items”, FAR Part 15, “Contracting by Negotiation,” and FAR Subpart 16.15, Indefinite-Delivery Contracts.
This effort is to provide instructors to develop and teach the Navy’s Machinery and Machine Guarding Course (course number A-493-0073) to uniformed personnel and civilians working for the US Government in support of the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center’s (NAVSAFENVTRACEN) mission. The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with various types of machinery and related safety standards. The goal of NAVSAFENVTRACEN is to provide quality safety, health, and environmental training to selected personnel in order to enhance skills at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels in order to prepare personnel in their designated specialty or field. This course is specifically designed for OSH Specialist, OSH Technician, Industrial Hygienist, Industrial Hygiene Technician, Environmental Protection Specialist, Safety Engineer, Industrial Hygiene Officer, or Navy full-time safety or collateral-duty personnel. The Product Service Code (PSC) is U099, Education/Training - Other.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611430 with a size standard of $16.5 million. This acquisition is to be processed through full and open competition after exclusion of sources in accordance with FAR 19.14 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
